Yohji Yamamoto S/S 2013: Elegance And Serenity

Conserving his signature elements – symmetry and androgynous silhouettes, designer Yohji Yamamoto imagined for the Spring/Summer 2013 season, a collection in which elegance and serenity prevailed.

The long, voluminous dresses, with unfinished hems and long, almost poetic trains, along with the black veiled silhouettes, perfectly captured the feeling of calm and serenity after a storm. And since it’s a collection meant for the warm season, Yamamoto infused a bit of colour as well, in the form of sexy fiery red dresses and cropped jackets paired with transparent skirts, in muted tones of pink, yellow and red.

A collection in which the usual simplicity of Yamamoto’s designs was transformed into an expression of refinement.
