Sharapova-Williams-Robson: Who Wins The Style Game?

On the tennis court, they’re rivals competing for a prize, but outside of it, the international stars of female tennis share the same impeccable taste in fashion.

Just like any other big event, the Wimbledon Tournament was preceeded by a fabulous party held at the Kensington Roof Gardens, one of the most exclusive and refined clubs, situated about a hundred feet above the elegant Kensingdon Street. Graciously demonstrating that they share the same impeccable approach to dressing as they do when it comes to tennis, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams and Laura Robson, three of the biggest female tennis stars in the world, have all chosen exquisite outfits signed by Burberry for the Pre-Wimbledon party.

Maria Sharapova drew all the eyes in the room upon her in an animal print Burberry Prorsum dress courtesy of the Pre-Fall 2013 collection, while Serena Williams stood out in the crown in a minimalist black & white number by Burberry London, which she accessorised with sandals from the same label. Laura Robson went for a head-to-toe Burberry look – a stunning Burberry Prorsum S/S 2013 green lace dress that she accessorised with a clutch and shoes also by Burberry, completing the ultra romantic and feminine look.

Tennis, one of the most noble sports out there, has long been intertwined with the fashion world, being associated with prestigious brands such as Rolex for decades now (tennis star Roger Federer has been the label’s image for years), while Burberry, with its typical English elegance, perfectly complements its image.
