Vunk – When Rebellious Punk Meets Versace Extravagance

Vunk – the clash between punk culture, with its rebellious allure and the luxury and extravagance of Versace designs. The result? A daring collection, a whirlwind of glamour and exhibitionism.

For the Fall/Winter 2013 collection, Donatella went with the idea of a powerful contrast, creating surprising looks: The elegance of fine silk, fur or cashmere merged with the porn-chic image of vinyl with a BDSM allure. For skinny PVC pants worn with mink coats with animal print and clean-cut military-inspired coats worn over luscious vinyl bodysuits, to the final looks of the show, glamorous dresses with provocative cutouts and elegant draping, sprinkled with PVC panels and spiky appliqués, the Versace show translated into a parade of sex-appeal.

Accessories were treated in the same manner, their opulence toned down by a tough allure, such as in the case of booties adorned with dangerously pointy spikes, harnesses embellished with sparkling stones, heavy chains slithering around the décolletage like poisonous snakes and various jewelry pieces encrusted with studs and spikes, from bracelets and earrings to chokers with a bondage edge.
