Video: Elie Saab Presents “Croisière à Paris”

Lebanese designer Elie Saab launched his own label at the early age of 18, in 1982, after a few year of fashion studies in Paris. Although currently his main workshop is located in his native country, Saab also has workshops in Paris and Milan and is the first non-Italian designer to become a member of the Camera Nazionale della Moda, a title he received in 1997. In 2003, he was invited to join the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, along with his first haute couture show in Paris. Today, Saab’s prêt-à-porter collections are present each year in the official Paris Fashion Week calendar and his creations can be found on the shelves of the most prestigious fashion stores around the world, in cities like Beirut, Paris or London.

To celebrate the in-store launch of the Resort 2013 collection, the Elie Saab fashion house has created a short film which perfectly captures the scenery, sounds, and of course, the air of the fashion capital of the world – Paris.

Shot on location, on the banks of the River Seine, the short clip tells the story of two female characters who wander the streets of Paris, the soft breeze of the spring highlighting the precision and craftsmanship with which each of the Elie Saab silk chiffon dress that the two are wearing is created.

Entitled ”Croisière à Paris”, the short film was created under the supervision of Elie Saab Jr., who acted as executive producer.
