Valentino Fall/Winter 2013: A Poetic Collection With Royal Allure

For the Valentino Fall/Winter 2013 show, designer duo Pier Paolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri imagined a set of outfits dripping with elegance, with a powerful feminine note.

Dresses featuring romantic A-line skirts and cuffs and high necklines adorned with lace, framing the face, worn with T-strap shoes with a trompe l’œil effect (achieved with the help of nude velvet panels), dresses featuring suave floral embroidery, coats with accentuated shoulders, capes with an aura of mystery, dresses with fishnet panels and fur appliqués, for a surprising effect, long, columnar dresses with pristine white collars, ultra-romantic lace silhouettes and precious dresses with minutely executed embroidery, inspired by the aesthetic of Delft ceramic pieces, stepped out onto the runway, creating, one by one, a line-up of royally elegant outfits.
