Tom Ford: Italy is crucial for the fashion industry

At the beginning of the month, the fashion, designers and typically Italian glamour were festively celebrated in London. And the fascination and love affair the world continues to have with Italy – with Bulgari, Salvatore Ferragamo or Valentino – is sensibly doubled by the recognition and gratefulness for Italian artisanship, an enormous contribution to the global fashion scene.

The outside opinion came from Tom Ford. The American in London has his designs exclusively Made in Italy and argues that it not only continues being no 1, but also is vital to the industry.

In a possible courteous exchange – not at all lacking in truth, both ways, nonetheless – Stefano Gabbana claims that London is more glamorous than Milan, Florence or Rome. While Bulgari expresses confidence in the future and renaissance of Italy.

But let’s see what Bloomberg has to say about Roberto Cavalli, Emilio Pucci, Versace and Missoni, and on why, for Italy, ‘’fashion means business’’.
