Tom Ford’s exclusive collection launch

Tom Ford has chosen to launch this year’s collection for Fall/Winter in a discreet, exclusive, way. The one who became famous as a creative director at Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, showed his collection in a series of private appointments in his London showroom on Sunday.

The designer presented the collection to a small groups of editors, from 8 o’clock till 4 pm, based on private appointments.

The presentation opened with a red fur coat over a black leather pencil skirt and over-the-knee black leather boots with a sharp toe and slender heel.

“I like a lot of black this season –I like strong colours too but with black as the accent,” Ford said.  The collection included 25 outfits, a lot of impressive accessories, rigid square hand bags, over-the-knee stiletto boots. Leather, feathers, fur, crocodile scales hand embroidered onto form-fitting stretch jersey, stiff leather bustiers, crystal chandelier necklaces, soft V-neck sweaters and dresses with shiny gold metal wear at the front of the waist, “remind me of what I was doing in the Nineties“, Tom said.

Because journalists were not allowed to take any pictures, we will have to wait a couple of monts till we will be able to see the collection more than with our mind’s eye. Until then you can watch here this  year’s collection .
