The Lanvin S/S 2013 Show: Elegance With A Dash Of Sexy

“Every woman wants to look and be like a star; they don’t want to match the wall!” said designer Alber Elbaz in the backstage, before the Lanvin Spring/Summer 2013 show.

Thus, Elbaz imagined a collection full of refinement, to which he added a dose of sex-appeal, a “deconstructed classicism” as he himself put it.

The smoking silhouettes fusioned with the kimono, being tied with obi belts at the waist, short dresses were embellished with origami-style bows and strategic cutouts revealing flashes of skin, V-necks plunged downward towards the abdomen, jumpsuits were adorned with shiny beads and pailettes, and towards the end of the show, the runway turned into an explosion of exuberant colours, in the form of cocktail dresses in delicious tones of yellow, turquoise and pink.

A collection dripping with Lanvin’s signature elegance, with a dash of sex-appeal, just in time for the spring season.
