The Italian masters. How to love Valentino Garavani more every day

Valentino

With upcoming Fashion Weeks having the world of fashion holding its collective breath and the Italian masters at a time of tense last touches, I felt the need to put aside my preparations – airplane tickets, invitations, outfits and never-ending packing – for a few minutes, and go back to the source of all inspiration.

Because this is what the divinely gifted Italian designers are – magic wells of beauty and unspoken desires met beyond imagination. The earthly form of this, apparently, nationally biased gift is the tight and numerous group of fashion creators from beautiful Italy lending wings to the list of all-time most influential designers compiled by the utmost timelessness authority, Time magazine.

The first among the very first is, by experience, mastery and that something that makes only him worthy of being crowned the Last Emperor, Valentino Garavani.

And today I managed to come up with new reasons for loving him even more. For his being, from Jacqueline Kennedy and up to Princess Madeleine of Sweden, the one providing with glamour those already born into it. And for the talent and generosity with which his disciples, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli make every new collection be just as Valentino as always. Long live the Emperor!
