The 2013 generation of British fashion talent

The British system supporting young fashion talents has just picked and awarded its 2013 laureates.

The Centre for Fashion Enterprise, a real emerging labels incubator focuses on high end potential to offer consultancy and assistance, and for the New Fashion Ventures winners, free studio space, business development, public relations and marketing counselling, in order to foster a rapid and, yet, steady evolution for the small awarded fashion houses.

The Centre has chosen as worthy beneficiaries of the opportunities it offers:

Fyodor Golan“A purity of shape and form combined with integrity of texture and detail.”

Teatum Jones“Effortless chic meets a contemporary elegance, achieving the perfect balance between masculine and feminine.”

Marques’ Almeida“Raw, young, effortless and lived-in.”

The British Fashion Council, a true fashion cultural institution successfully and prestigiously promotes British designers. And the Fashion Forward award winners, cherry-picked among the talent cultivated through the NEWGEN program, are also to enjoy the fruits of BFC business assistance, as well as cash prizes destined to support their following two collections:

David Koma“Sculptural shapes, heavy embellishment and a perfect fit.”

Holly Fulton“Graphic print, luxurious materials and hot accessories.”

Michael van der Ham“…a juxtaposition of elements from different decades in fashion…”
