How to dress if you have a small bust

>> Choose the right bra. To accentuate a small bust, the best options are push up and balcony bras. Don’t overdo it when it comes to choosing a push up bra, though – you don’t want to end up looking disproportionate.

>> Detailing over the bust area distract attention and maximize volume. Play and experiment with ruffles, embroidery and various appliqués and embellishments, but be careful – too many details can have the opposite effect, making your bust look even smaller than it actually is.

>> Horizontal stripes add volume, but stay away from them if you have broad shoulders.

>> Balance your outfit by wearing dark colour on your bottom half and bright ones (that draw attention) on your top half.

>> When it comes to accessories, choose necklaces at the base of your neck, such as chokers, which optically enhance the bust area, or even chains with small pendants that will make your breasts look bigger by comparison. Also, you can try knotted scarves that end over the line of your chest.

>> Halternecks accentuate the form of your bust, enhancing it.

>> Cinch in your waist with a belt to accentuate your body’s natural hourglass figure and also offer a bit of extra volume to your chest area.

>> Choose tops with thin straps in favour of thick ones.

>> Wear prints on your top half to create the illusion of a bigger bust.

>> Avoid tops that are too tight, but also ones that are too loose – find the perfect balance to show off the shape of your bust.

>> If you don’t want to wear a bra, you can go for tops with built-in cups.

>> Don’t be afraid to show some cleavage. The advantage of having small breasts is that you can wear low-cut tops without looking vulgar. Stay away from V-necks and any neckline that is too low and go instead for asymmetrical necklines, cowl necklines, bandeau necklines, boat necklines, round necklines and even high necklines.

>> Choose empire waists, A-line dresses and strapless pieces to show off your bust area and accentuate it.
