Stella McCartney’ outfits for the Olympics stir controversy

This year, designer Stella McCartney made the costumes for the Olympic athletes of Great Britain team, but this choice brought great controversy. Stella is said to be used too little red in the costume materials, this being the predominant color in the flag country.

McCartney has been criticized by many people on her Twitter account, as this collection is a total failure. Stella said that the current design suggests flag colors more than any other costumes made from ’84 until now. She added that the flag was the primary source of inspiration, but she wanted to give the outfits a modern approach.

The costumes were made in collaboration with Adidas and the athletes are very excited about them.
