Spices go well with fragrances

Saffron is one of the most expensive spices in the world, praised for its medical and aphrodisiac qualities, for centuries. Persians found it, but nowadays it is highly cultivated in India.

That’s why I believe the newest scent from Byredo, Black Saffron, must be some kind of special. Ben Gorham, the founder of the Swedish brand, says saffron has always been a part of his Indian upbringing, in smell, taste and color: “It is holy to all Hindus and the color of Buddhist robes. Black Saffron is a fragrance inspired by this very idea of sublime unity.”

The fragrance costs 220$/100 ml and can be bought at Byredo.
