Sophisticated Paisley for Etro’s Fall Show

Following season after season of intensely acclaimed collections by Kean Etro for the brand’s menswear line, it is now time for his younger sibling, Veronica, to shine.

The Fall/Winter 2012-2013 season has proved to be a good opportunity for Veronica to show a successful, put-together collection, featuring an abundance of Etro’s classic elements.

Playing with the House’s signature print – paisley, the designer came up with feminine silhouettes with a dandy twist, inspired by men’s fashion. The models were decked in tailored pants with a masculine feel, paired with coats or jackets with waits accentuated by wide belts, but also a series of pencil skirts.

Shiny black leather accents, transparent veil, velvet and fur all came to sustain the collection’s feel of sophistication. The opening look, with the skinny, almost legging-like paisley printed pants, which resembled tattooed skin, marked the fact that Veronica Etro sure knows how to play with the idea of bad-girl chic.
