If the fever and frenzy existent in the backstage of a Fashion Week show are intense, then the preparations for a Couture presentation and the level of agitation and fervor surrounding it, are too much for words to describe.
Long before the first models steps onto the runway and up until the grad finale, when the couturier receives his or her hail of applause from the adoring public, the level of concentration in the backstage is stretched at the maximum. Each member of the backstage team has an instrumental role in transforming the dozens, even hundreds of hours of work spent in the ateliers to ensure that each tiny detail is tailored, sewn, cut, draped or embroided with impeccable meticulousity, into a spectacular show.
Antoine Asseraf has captured the sweet frenzy present in the backstage of one of the most dazzling Couture presentations showcased in Paris – the Giambattista Valli show. Sneak into the backstage to take part in the tumultuous preparations for the Fall 2013 show, and share the contagious enthusiasm!
