Sex-Appeal And Structurality – Anthony Vaccarello’s F/W 2013 Show At Paris Fashion Week

Known and appreciated for the provocative edge that he usually gives his clothes, a fact that has turned him within the last few seasons into the go-to designer for stars such as supermodel Anja Rubik, when it comes to choosing a red carpet outfit, Anthony Vaccarello chose to follow a slightly different path for his Fall/Winter 2013 collection, coupling the sensual vibe of his designs with a dose of structurality.

In a chromatic palette limited to black and white, sprinkled with metallic shine, Vaccarello brought out onto the runway daywear looks for which leather was the prime fabric used, found on mini skirts, jackets, coats or dresses, embellished with studs, hooks or chainmail-like panels made up of tiny metallic discs. A series of soft angora pieces sweetened the tough edge of the daywear line-up.

For nighttime, Vaccarellor remained loyal to his signature silhouettes – provocative dresses dripping with sensuality, with sexy asymmetric cuts, which he adorned with the same metallic disc panels.
