Sensual Japanese Elements In The S/S 2013 Mugler Collection

For the Spring/Summer 2013 Mugler show, creative director Nicola Formichetti and womenswear designer Sébastien Peigné, created a collection in which they kept graphic lines, so popular this season, but reinterpreted them in a softer dimension.

Inspired by the American Pop Art current and the traditional outfits of the faraway lands of Japan, the Mugler collection for the following season features sensual pieces, such as kimono-inspired tops in soft leather, leather skirts with origami-like pleats, shiny leather trousers, but also short, cocktail dresses, with sexy cuts.

Also, it is the first time when Formichetti introduces a line of bagsonto the runway, along with his looks, to the delight of the brand’s usual clientele.
