Salvatore Ferragamo F/W 2013: A Minimalist Collection With An Urban Vibe

With a rich background of experience in men’s fashion, resulted from his previous position as creative director for the label’s menswear line, Massimiliano Giornetti created for the Salvatore Ferragamo Fall/Winter 2013 show, a collection in which the masculine influence translated into a minimalist line-up with an urban vibe.

Menswear-inspired pieces with severe lines and precise cuts were balanced out by feminine accents: a double-breasted trench coat was sweetened via ponyhair inserts, while a heavy wool turtleneck was paired with a flirty mini skirt with playful fringes.

The outerwear pieces – coats in shades of gray, white, black or navy, and a set of fur and leather coats with carefully structured lines, were alternated with dresses featuring asymmetrical hemlines with clean, simple silhouettes, for an urban chic effect.
