Saint Laurent S/S 2013: L.A. Bad Girl

Even if the modification of the house’s name by dropping the founder’s first name wasn’t received in an optimistic note by everybody, the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2013 collection certainly didn’t lack some of the label’s signature elements: Le Smoking, pussy bows, mousseline – they all made an appearance on the runway. However, the brand’s new creative director, Heidi Slimane, put his own spin on the collection.

Filtering the label’s classic elegance through a modern lens, Slimane imagined a show inspired by the Los Angeles nightlife, in which maxi dresses with seductive allure came together with tough girl looks made up of leather pants and floor-length coats.

With a bad girl, almost rock edge, the Saint Laurent S/S 2013 collection will turn any woman into a goddess of seduction, in charge of her dark side.
