Roberto Cavalli, a true designer of charitable events

Roberto Cavalli is the king of charitable balls this spring. The amfAR Gala at Cannes and the Life Ball in Vienna will be raising money for HIV/AIDS charities through pieces and in an ambiance both designed by Cavalli.

First comes, on the 23rd of May, the charity gala at the Festival de Cannes, where 900 guests are to sparkle in a glamorous setting of decorations from the Cavalli Home collection, and be able to bid for exclusive Roberto Cavalli creations.

Mini Paceman Cavalli

Two evenings later, on the 25th, the Life Ball at the Vienna City Hall is to see on its podium the spring-summer Roberto Cavalli collection, as well as Cavalli vintage designs brought especially to best illustrate the banquet’s theme – One Thousand and One Nights. Even more, also for charity, a Mini Paceman turned one of a kind by Cavalli in shimmering black and brown will be trying to surpass previous year’s raised amount, somewhere in excess of EUR 500 000.

Former American president Bill Clinton, Elton John, Eva Longoria and Fergie are among those invited who have confirmed their attending the event.

Also in Vienna, on May 24, the official opening of the Roberto Cavalli flagship store is scheduled. And again associated with the charitable goals the Italian house is a promoter of, a T-shirts limited edition is anticipated to become available, the sales of which are bound for the Viennese ball’s cause.
