Read my red-red lips

Tom Ford is launching a new teaser and, on November 28, a new sensual video explicitly called Lips & Boys. Gwyneth Paltrow is quoted everywhere as having said ’’Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.’’ And a brief research points out that man has been fascinated with red and determined to have it through whatever (primitive) methods he had available, ever since the Late Stone Age. For his primitive woman, of course…

This means that we all know or intuitively feel it: red promises love, passion, joy and claims and readily gets some – even unsolicited – attention! This is why 7 iconic Houses are dedicating it their best rouge formulas and some of the most poetical red attributes – flame, ardent shock, even teatro – this season seemingly even more that any other time (in the last 150 000 years)…

So, here are the most theatrical red lipsticks since Cleopatra and Elizabeth Taylor! They’re a supra-trend over the millennia and a super-trend of the fall-winter 2014/2015 season.
