Miu Miu S/S 2013: A Show Of Contrasts

For the Spring/Summer 2013 season, Miuccia Prada let herself be inspired by the refinement of the 60s, to which she offered her own twist: the couture shapes of the clothes and the elegance of accessories, which included fur stoles, extravagant jewelry, 3/4 gloves and pointy-toe pumps, was balanced by and brought into the present with the help of modern fabrics.

Pencil skirts and feminine jackets were made out of dark denim, coats were fashioned out of shiny fabrics and furs were splattered with pops of colour.

The result? A collection in which the traditional notion of elegance was challenged by Miuccia Prada into a new territory, in which couture cuts met an expression of casual refinement.
