Miss America’s diet

What do you think a woman who wins a national beauty contest eats? There’s no need to guess. In an interview for Shape magazine, Olivia Culpo, the newest Miss U.S.A winner, talks about her diet and her cravings.

She confessed that she was “short and chubby” when she was little, so she does take care at what she eats. The 20-year-old woman says she loves unsalted almonds, especially when she’s about to do a photo shoot: “There’s no mess, and they’re so easy to pack in a little Ziploc bag to take with you. It’s my number one go-to-snack. ”

Also, whenever she’s on the run, she eats protein replacement bars and bananas, which help her calm: “Nothing calms my nerves like it! I don’t know if it’s the potassium, but I need it before I get on stage because it always calms me down,” she says.

Other meal choices are yoghurt, steamed vegetables and baked sweet potatoes. When it comes to cravings, Olivia admits she cannot stay away too long from the peanut butter and jelly: “Oh my goodness, it is so good. I could live off of it.”
