This season’s Milan Fashion Week has brought a first to the industry. Hogan, the label famous for its casual chic footwear and a whole series of original collaborations, among which the famous Katie Grand Loves Hogan, has made its debut on the ready-to-wear scene, with Simon Holloway as designer.
And, as the movie made with the collection presentation clearly shows, the vital and fresh DNA of Hogan has been kept all but intact.
What the former creative director of Jimmy Choo achieved, was the transformation of the Italian brand’s winged style into decadent RTW literally ready to be happily worn day after day. Using a ’’neo romantic’’ starting point, Holloway styled for Hogan a series of biker jackets and suits with lush textures, such as fur, suede, velvet and cashmere, dotted with dynamic, kaleidoscopic prints of wearability! In fact, the authentic Hogan mix – sporty, modern, but with a typically Italian quality – in an all the more strong new formula.
