VIDEO: Godfrey Deeny & Karl Lagerfeld, memorable interview

When it comes to fabulous fashion shows, Karl Lagerfeld is the best definition, as his défilés  for Chanel are always flawless. Keeping in tune, when it comes to fabulous interviews, Godfrey Deeny is surely the master.

Godfrey Deeny is a big name for connaisseurs. Formerly the editor in chief of L’Uomo Vogue, he currently works as the European Editor of Fashion Wire Daily, as well as being a fashion critic for The Financial Times. In addition to this, you can find Deeny’s delightful insights in Vogue editions across the world, such as Vogue Singapore, Australia, Russia  and China. Moreover, the prestigious Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), could not do without his personality, so Deeny was invited to join the jury of the institution which awards the so-called “Oscars for fashion”.

Straight from the front row of the most important international fashion shows, Godfrey Deeny evaluates fashion in a thorough, yet most elegant manner. His witty reviews are some of the most sought-after fashion readings, thanks to his insightful commentaries, spiced with fine sarcasm originating in his Irish roots. A true connaiseur, Deeny often refers to to art, economy or history when reviewing fashion.

This month’s most important event, held at the Jardins de Versailles, was when Karl Lagerfeld unveiled the Chanel Resort 2013 Collection. After an exquisite show, it was to be expected that the two men with the most powerful personality in the fashion world would end up discussing. And given that “The King” doesn’t chat with just anybody, you can only imagine who got to do the official interview, which was later posted on Chanel’s official website. Watch Deeny and Lagerfeld talking about rock&roll and the crimes that the designer admits to have done…
