Ah, retro nostalgia! I wasn’t born early enough to get to enjoy the fabulous fashion of the 70s, but luckily, Marc Jacobs did a truly excellent job in bringing back the relaxed lines and elegant silhouettes of the Seventies, through his Marc by Marc Jacobs signature collection.
For the cold season that seems be approaching at an insufficiently rapid pace, Marc proposes cropped trousers with high waistlines, printed daytime dresses with fluid silhouettes, comfy knitwear and 3/4 coats, all paired with delightfully negligent giant curls.
The feminine silhouettes in dusted tones of brick-red and muted blue, injected with infusions of yellow and bright red, stand alongside a dash of Seventies glamour, in the form of masculine suits in shiny satin and turtleneck sweaters with transparent irisations – all in the new Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter campaign, in which photographer Juergen Teller perfectly captures the moody atmosphere of Seventies fashion.
