Manish Arora’s Indian Heritage In The S/S 2013 Collection

For his Spring/Summer 2013 collection, designer Manish Arora celebrated his roots, incorporating elements from traditional Indian clothing both into the shapes of the silhouettes, as well as into the prints and various add-ons with which they were embellished.

Intense colours, a tiger motif, exotic skins, metallic accents and elaborate , breath-taking jewelry, made in collaboration with the Amrapali brand, all came together to form a vibrant, lively collection.

Printed tunics paired with wide-legged or skinny metallic pants, tops with multicoloured bead appliqués, pieces with metallic leopard print and dresses with wide, ample skirts, embellished with traditional Indian motifs, brought to attention the amazing craftsmanship of Manish Arora’s work, visible in each of his collections.
