Makeup trends for this fall

I’ve never followed a trend step by step, but knowing what’s hot for most of the people at a certain point, keeps me grounded. Here are the major trends for this season, as seen on the catwalks.

Fresh faces

Perfect complexion is always in fashion, but the fresh cheeks seen at Michael Kors, or the nude tones from Valentino, worth the mention for this fall season too.

Wine and chocolate lips

This season it’s about enjoying lipsticks in deep wine-stain and chocolate tones. They fit perfectly with fair, flawless skin, and you can go for matte shades in the daytime, as well as glossy finish for the evening.

Dramatic eyes

Saturated eye shadows, black smudged kohl, layers of eye shadow applied all over the eyelids are what the designers think it’s hot for this fall. Take a look at Lanvin and Prada.

Defined Brows

Big, natural brows are in the spotlight for a couple of seasons now, but it’s no wonder, as they are as sexy as always. Keep them  defined  and use a pencil to accentuate them, if needed.

Gorgeous colors

From browns to blues and greens, silver and orange, eye shadows make a show by themselves. Let yourself inspired by the playful effects seen at Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, or Anna Sui.

Brown

Any tone of khaki, brown or mocha will give you a sensual, easy to wear look. Leave the black eye shadow for later, now it’s the perfect moment to make a change with earth-toned colors.
