New details on the fabulous The Sound of Change Live concert organised by Chime for Change, founded by Gucci, continue to emerge, and they all contribute to the ever increasing excitement for taking part to the event. It is just as much about people wanting to enjoy Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Florence + the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Laura Pausini and many many others and eager to see their ticket’s value go to the Chime for Change projects, as it is for an ever increasing number of celebrities and voices full of authority confirming their presence on the Twickenham Stadium stage.

Archbishop Desmond Tutu

Madonna, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown and his wife, Sarah Brown, Jessica Chastain, Gloria Steinem, Freida Pinto, Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, Leymah Gbowee, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, Mpho Tutu, young Humaira Bachal – whose story defines the motivation behind Chime for Change – and Zoe Saldana will be making on stage appearances throughout the 4 hour show. It will truly be one of the high points of the struggle to take new concrete steps, through donations and vision, towards turning into reality the belief that ’’girls and women everywhere deserve the right to be educated, healthy, safe and celebrated’’ for as many thousands of them as possible.

Madonna, through the experience at her own charity – Ray of Light Foundation – says that ’’60 percent of the children in the world NOT in school are girls! 2/3 of the world’s illiterate are WOMEN! I Do NOT accept this. We need to change this and we WILL CHANGE THIS!’’. Her decisiveness comes to reinforce Frida Giannini’s – Creative Director of Gucci and Chime for Change Co-Founder – strong belief in the power of the voices gathered to promote change on the magical evening of The Sound of Change Live.
