Lacoste Invites You On An Expedition To The Antarctic

For the Fall/Winer 2013/14 season, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, Creative director for Lacoste, invites us on an imaginary expedition to the Antarctic. The outfits with simple, clean-cut lines and exaggeratedly rounded shoulders creating cocoon silhouettes, ranged from Arctic white to shades of gray, migrating eventually onto darker, more profound tones of green and black, with a few injections of electric orange and green, creating a colour-blocking effect which provided the entire collection with an infusion of freshness.

Cotton piqué, the brand’s signature fabric, was paired this season with wool, jersey and leather, and, in the spirit of the Antarctic, a series of outfits were printed with the image of an iceberg or with prints representing latitude and longitude coordinates.
