La Dolce Vita and 7 other classic masterpieces in theatre, thanks to Gucci

Gucci re-introduces us to Marcello Mastroianni, Alain Delon, Robert de Niro and James Dean next to their wonderful co-stars – Anita Ekberg, Claudia Cardinale and Natalie Wood, under the direction of movie titans Federico Fellini, Luchino Visconti or Nicholas Ray!

Gucci Museo has scheduled screenings of the classics digitally restored as a result of the house’s collaboration with The Film Foundation, at the Odeon in Florence. Part of the Cinema Visionaries series, each Wednesday starting January 22nd and ending on March 19th, will be hosting in the Florentine theatre the masters of European and American cinema:

22nd of January A WOMAN UNDER THE INFLUENCE (1974, directed by John Cassavetes)

29th of January IL CASO MATTEI (1972, directed by Francesco Rosi)

5th of February LA DOLCE VITA (1960, directed by Federico Fellini)

12th of February SENSO (1950, directed by Luchino Visconti)

19h of February LE AMICHE (1955, directed by Michelangelo Antonioni)

26th of February IL GATTOPARDO (1963, directed by Luchino Visconti)

12th of March REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE (1955, directed by Nicholas Ray)

19th of March ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA (1984, directed by Sergio Leone)

You needn’t worry about invitations, the admittance is free upon availability. All the necessary is a plane ticket to fantastic Florence!

The Italian fashion house of Gucci and The Film Foundation, chaired by Martin Scorsese, next to, among others, Woody Allen, Francis Ford Coppola, Clint Eastwood, George Lucas, Robert Redford and Steven Spielberg have been collaborating since 2006 for the reconditioning and updating to modern technical standards of some of the world’s greatest movies.
