Johnson & Johnson will make healthier cosmetics

Johnson & Johnson is the first major cosmetics brand that is going to remove a wide range of chemicals from its products. According to the New York Times, they promised to take out from their cosmetics substances like formaldehydes, carcinogens, and parabens by the end of 2015. The company has already started to remove toxins from the baby products.

The decision came after the Campaign For Safe Cosmetics found in a series of products chemicals that can harm people’s health. Most of the substances are not listed on the product’s label, because they come from the manufacturing process, they are not added in the composition.

Johnson & Johnson is the company that owns brands like Neutrogena, Aveeno, and Clean & Clear.
