The Romania edition of the famous and world influential Forbes magazine has published yet another edition of its 30 under 30 list. They are young and eager to reinvent the world, Forbes says, and Janina Nectara, included among Romania’s young and up and coming ambitious talents, is reinventing fashion blogging – Fashion avec Passion – and is already dreaming about and working on her next step.
During the Paris, Milan, London and New York fashion weeks, Janina is permanently on the go, covering as many among the great brand’s shows.
About fashion vanities and rivalries Janina Nectara (27) could well write pages and, for over three years, she has been doing just that. For the Fashion Wire Daily, under the direction of Godfrey Deeny (editor-at-large for Le Figaro and former chief of the Paris bureau of Women’s Wear Daily), but also for her own website, fashionavecpassion.com.
In March 2012, ’’Fashion avec Passion’’ was chosen ’’Blog of the Week’’ by the true ’’institution’’ of luxury, London’s Harrods, marking the breakthrough of the Romanian into the world of international blogging. ’’Knowing the high standards held by Harrods and how drastically they sift out the names they get associated with, it is a great honour’’, says Janina, an economist converted to fashion following a specialised course in Paris, but who didn’t altogether forsake her initial profession: ’’Fashion avec Passion’’ also covers fashion business, often letting in on financial details accessible only to insiders.
Actually, this is how her online quest started: two blogger friends, Bryanboy and Ingrid Chua Go, convinced her into making her way through the web, after behind scenes details gotten hold of through her job at the Fashion Wire Daily have earned her the reputation of being the ’’Fashion Week Oracle’’. Or, I might add, the Fashion Week diva. At our meeting, in a chic Bucharest café, Janina came wearing an impeccable white suit, with ballerina shoes in her feet, despite the very few degrees Celsius. Yet more clear proof that she is just as glamorous in the every day life as in her photographs on the Vogue UK, Vogue Brazil, Vogue Russia and Vogue Japan websites, or on that of the famous street style blogger Scott Schuman (’’The Sartorialist’’).
