The Italian casual chic brand, Hogan, is this year celebrating 30 years since inception. Its history centered on accessories, more specifically sport shoes, now also expands to a ready-to-wear collection. As such, taking the opportunity provided by the spring-summer 2017 set show, it decided to celebrate its pioneer and (today) trendsetter status in what it self-defines as ‘’casual luxury’’.
Dedicated to its run in fashion, Hogan reinterpreted its very first sport shoe model, the Traditional86, by enriching it with vibrant graphic elements. And, as an expression of today, it introduced a new sneaker, the H320, styled as an epitome of minimalism.
And, if as far as Hogan is concerned, accessories come first, we also need to mention the collection’s backpacks coordinated with the revised Traditional86’s floral print.
Furthermore, their matching wardrobe was, to use the words of the brand’s creative team, ‘’a Pop-Glam affair’’. Belonging to an everyday urban look, the miniskirts, sporty inspired tops, bomber jackets, even shirts, jackets and wide leg trousers, are all bound to blend in seamlessly into the wardrobes of many among us.
The palette dominated by white and black in a monochrome occasionally dotted by tartan and the aforementioned dynamic floral print facilitates this versatility and enhances this casual set’s destructured vibe.
The use of fabric – be it silk, leather or innovative, technical materials – also comes to reinforce the urban alphabet of the pieces with an attribute that is typical for Italian fashion, namely a high regard and predilection for quality textiles.
