Hermès Launches Haute Bijouterie Collection

Since its founding in 1873, Hermès has been famous for its fine leather goods, many of which, like the Kelly or Birkin bags, have become iconic. The inspiration that these pieces provide is limitless, and thus, starting with this season, the French fashion house is introducing a new collection, bound to end up on the must have list of women everywhere, much like the precious bags – The Hermès Haute Bijouterie collection includes a range of fine jewelry pieces, created under the supervision of artistic director Pierre Hardy.

”Pierre wanted to pay tribute to our leather bags, because Hermès bags are considered like real jewels all over the world”, states Laurence Reulet, director of jewelry. ”We also developed an exclusive chain in rose gold, mixing different types of links. Rose gold is a real signature of our jewelry, since it reminds me of the color and sensuality of leather and skin.”

Another special feature of Hermès jewelry, especially when it comes to the pieces created as a tribute to the iconic Kelly bag, is that they are meant to be worn on their own, without any additional jewelry. “Each Kelly piece has its own creative strength and the best way to wear it is alone, to keep its full power.”, says Reulet.
