Hermes bag giveaway on The Bag Hag Diaries

I was in Paris for Fashion Week, when my friend Ingrid from www.thebaghagdiaries.com initiated a Hermes Marwari GM bag giveaway contest on her website and Facebook page. There was a big responsibility on my shoulders, as she asked me to pick out a winner. THANK YOU INGRID!

www.thebaghagdiaries.com is the best blog I’ve ever read, specialized in bags. Funny, interactive, consistent info, and on the top of all these, it has great contests for all fashion lovers.

I was very flattered to decide who is the winner of such a wonderful gift and I must admit that I also wanted it so badly. Yay! A HERMES bag! Unfortunately, I was not allowed to participate (which sounds fare now, but back then Ingrid had to listen my whining about it every day).

The process was so difficult, that we decided that the new lucky owner of the Hermes Marwari GM bag will be chosen randomly. Ladies and gentlemen, the big winner is: Mary Thatcher Raypon!!! Congratulations Mary !

Everyone else, keep an eye on www.thebaghagdiaries.com and follow The Bag Hag on Twitter @thebaghag and on Facebook (FB) page of The Bag Hag Diaries, as The Bag Hag has always new exciting contests with amazing giveaways. Wouldn’t be great to have a new Hermes or another top designer bag on your shoulder?

This is the Hermes Marwari GM bag from the contest. Love the ciel color!

The Hermes Marwari bag was showed in the Hermes boutiques windows.
I remember I saw it in Vienna and I was lucky enough to find picture for you on windowsofvienna.com

For your info, Marwari is a rare breed of horse from the Marwar (or Jodhpur) region of India.
Known for its inward-turning ear tips it comes in all equine colours, although pinto patterns tend to be the most popular with buyers and breeders. The Marwari are descended from native Indian ponies crossed with Arabian horses, possibly with some Mongolian influence. (Source: Wikipedia)

Speaking about its inward-turning ear tips, you can also notice the same shape at the Hermes Marwari bag’s string.

It was such a great inspiration for Hermes, that an entire scarves collection was dedicated to the elegant Marwari horse.
