Glamour And Drumbeats For Moschino

Watch the Moschino Fall/Winter 2012-2013 show here:

„We’re throwing a parade”, announced Rosella Jardini in the backstage of Moschino‘s Fall/Winter show. „We want a good time.”

And so it began.

First came the toy soldiers. Then, the cheerleaders. Then the little girls with short, frilly skirts and big bows in their hair.

Technically, the Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection showcased skinny colour-blocked ski pants with complementary extra-comfy loose sweaters, accessorized with tiny purses pinned at the waist, military inspired button-down jackets, bandleader jackets, embroided coats, with or without an accented waistline, drop-waist cocktail dresses or ultra-short dresses dripping in frills or pailletes, almost resembling little girls’ clothes, accessorized with oversized bows, all in an explosion of colour, from red to yellow to cobalt blue, to classic black and white.

A series of tougher outfits, like the studded leather jacket worn over a pair of skinny leather trousers made for an all-black look worthy only of a genuinely outgoing personality, but such garments surely did not take the playful edge out of the show.

Indeed a good time did we have with this parade of optimistic looks, intended to remind us that even if we’re talking about the Fall/Winter season, a bit of youthfulness never goes out of style.
