Glamorous Sunsets In The Armani Privé Collection

Pants are making a comeback this fall and who does pants better than Giorgio Armani?

Centred around the return of the trouser as a key piece in women’s wardrobes, the Armani Privé Fall/Winter 2012 collection was dominated by the menswear-inspired garment. There was nothing mannish about any of the looks though, as the fluid cut of the trousers was paired with peplum tops, colour-blocked coats and sequin jackets and accessorised with crystal-encrusted face-coverings.

Chromatically, the collection was reminiscent of nightfall, each look resembling either dusk, sunset or the sky of a starry night.

The show dramatically ended with a series of stunning sequined velvet evening gowns that are sure to wind up on the red carpet soon enough, Armani being one of the most sought-after eveningwear designers worldwide.
