Geek Chic: Philip Lim Launches Comic Book

Attention! Comic books are no longer just for geeks!

Designer Philip Lim has created a comic named “Kill The Night”, to coincide with the launch of his latest Fall/Winter 2012 3.1 Philip Lim collection, taking the concept of “geek chic” to a whole new level.

Given that the collection was inspired by fiction such as “Sin City” and “V For Vendetta”, as well as by the costumes of comic superheroes, Lim challenged his creativity by producing “Kill The Night”, illustrated by Jan Dursema and co-written with comic veteran John Ostrander.

The comic is “a story of duality and metamorphosis, day and night, black and white, love and betrayal. Things are not what they seem.”

The launch of the comic book will take place on September 6th, so as to coincide with Fashion’s Night Out. However, if you don’t happen to be in one of the cities where the event will take place, you can sign up on the designer’s official website, 31philiplim.com, to receive a copy of the comic.
