Gaowei + Xinzhan – Oriental Mystery Meets Western Chic

Gaowei + Xinzhan stands for Asian inventivity doubled by a dose of French creativity, creating an extremely stylish mix – the rich culture of the Orient comes together with the freshness of the Western World.

Ever since 2011, when their first Pret-a-porter collection hit the runway, outfits created by the designer duo of Chinese descent can be found on the shelves of famous boutiques, such as H.Lorenzo (Los Angeles), Luisa Via Roma (Florence), Harvey Nichols (Hong Kong) and le Bon Marché (Paris) and their presence in such stores is just a step away from ending up in fashionistas’ closets. Gaowei + Xinzhan clothes are inspired by Parisian couture, with a dose of glamour and a touch of French chic, creating stylish, seductive outfits.

After completing an internship at the Atelier Chandon Savard and gaining valuable experience in the field of couture by working with world-renowned designer Christian Lacroix, Gaowei and Xinzhan create clothes inspired by people’s inner beauty, with the purpose of both challenging the wearer’s imagination, as well as inevitably drawing the eye of others, thanks to the way in which the garment hugs and complements the feminine figure.

With signature pieces such as the jewel-dress and exclusive prints, the two designers are famed for imagining outfits that go well both on the red carpet, as well as for day to day wear. Gaowei + Xinzhan pieces often grace the pages of famous magazines, like InStyle, Bazaar, Mudd, Madame Figaro or Gala, and celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston and Beth Ditto have chosen to wear their designs to various events.

The Fall/Winter 2012-2013 collection, also available for purchase online, boasts hybrid prints inspired by flora and fauna along with an organic mix of plumage, gemstones and pearl detailing, in a whirlwind of feminine draping that wrap the silhouette in an aura of mystery.

Immerse yourself in the mystical lands of the Orient, all the while embracing the true Parisian chic, with pieces from the new Gaowei + Xinzhan line.
