Fourties’ Glamour In The Dsquared2 F/W 2013 Collection

For their Fall/Winter 2013 show, Dean & Dan Caten reutilised the jazz club décor used as a backdrop for their menswear collection showcased a month ago. Glamorous silhouettes echoing the Fourties era invaded the runway: a diaphanous dress with a dramatic train, suave plumage detailing and delicate beading opened the presentation, making way for the following looks, either inspired by men’s fashion, in the form of wide-leg trousers, double breasted blazers and trench coats paired with neckties and high felt hats, of with a distinctly feminine allure, in the form of looks composed of pencil skirts, nipped-in waists and luxurious fur coats.

The fluid dresses in shiny satin, somptuous velvet or fine embroided silk reemerged onto the runway towards the middle of the show, their feeling of glamour maximised with the help of the jewel accessories that accompanied them.
