Football player’s no 2 priority? Fashion, reveals Sepp Magazine!

What did I most eagerly expect from the Brazil World Cup? Not the performance of the winning team. Not even Gisele on the cover of Vogue! But the new issue of Sepp Football Fashion Magazine!!

Since 2002 onwards, Godfrey Deeny (L’Uomo Vogue and Le Figaro) and Markus Ebner (Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Die Zeit) have once every two years – from Euro to World – mixed together the crème de la crème of the Ballon D’Or and that of the Fashion Weeks. Alber Elbaz, Frida Giannini, Giambattista Valli, Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld or Dries Van Noten style-quizzed by the most talented on the pitch and fashion-passionate outside of it football players in the world.

And this year the winning formula is even more exciting! Kaka, the Emporio Armani man, Dani Alves, crazy about Jeremy Scott and Edinson Cavani in Givenchy and Berluti… Insider’s information such as… Pep Guardiola wearing Dsquared2, that even if soccer is still some way away from football in the US, Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman’s do play in the Major League of men’s fashion and a thrilling reminder that Euro 2016 is to be held in France – yes, YSL France-, and that it already has a football-fashion-event at Colette in feverish preparations! Yes indeed, more exciting even than a match with a great lot of shots on target!

And, because of all the commotion, I almost forgot something essential. Fernanda Tavares, representing the host nation, shot on an unnamed Rio beach a sizzling editorial of the most carefully designed sweatshirts in football history: Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, for Spain, Ami – France, Barbara Casasola – Brazil, Damir Doma – Germany, Duro Olowu – Nigeria, Juun. J – South Korea, Ksubi – Australia, Masha Ma – China, MSGM – Italy, Opening Ceremony – USA (you can find them at Yoox, for EUR 80, and Sepp Magazine at most international news stands)!
