Find The Perfect Shoes For Your Leg Shape


When you buy a dress or a skirt, you spend dozens of minutes considering how and if it will flatter your silhouette, but did you know that shoes can also alter your figure, highlighting your best assets and hiding what you don’t want the world to see? Find out how, right here:

If you have thick legs

– avoid boxy shoes, shes that have extra room at the ankles (such as wide booties, and shoes that have straps around the ankles.

– elongate your leg with the help of pointy toes, peep toes and V-styles at the vamp of the shoes. Much like a V-neck minimizes a full chest, a shoes that is cut in such a way that shows more skin will make your feet and legs look longer and leaner.

– avoid bold colours and patterns that will draw attention down to your feet. Instead, go for nudes and brown-based colours that will elongate your legs.

– go for matte leathers and suede, instead of shiny fabrics.

– go for slingback styles and mules, which will optically slim your legs, as well as elongating them.

Extra tip: Take your shoes size into consideration! Adapt the embellishments and strap size to the length of your foot. Look for wider straps rather than narrow ones and choose details that are in line with your size if you have large feet and go for pointed toes that add length and small embellishments if you have small feet.
