Femme Fatales In The Badgley Mischka F/W 2013 Show At NYFW

For the Fall/Winter 2013 season, Mark Badgley and James Mischka found their muses in the form of Alfred Hitchcock’s movie heroines – Grace Kelly, Tippi Hedren or Kim Novak.

Daywear looks were given a strict, yet feminine air, featuring pencil skirts paired with either a glamorous jacket with gold appliqués and accentuated shoulders, or with precious tops with fur collars.

The second part of the show was dominated by eveningwear looks, with delicate satin dresses with shimmering paillettes appliquéd over transparent tulle, suave one-shouldered gowns, elegantly draped or featuring provocative thigh-high slits, and embroided show-stopping floor-length gowns, all fit for a veritable femme fatale, just like Hitchcock’s heroines.
