Feminine Empowerment In Jason Wu’s Fall/Winter 2013/14 Show

Preserving the tone of his Spring 2013 and Pre-Fall collections, the Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2013/14 show had a distinct air of femininity, doubled by a powerful dose of sex-appeal.

The presentation debuted with a series of power-daywear outfits – outerwear pieces with leather and fur details, crisp white shirts with sharp collars, sweetened by lace accents and fine silk. The show then migrated towards cocktail attire – bustier-tops, peplums, flirty dresses and an infusion of ultra-glamourous plumage.

Through his F/W collection, suggestively entitled ”Extreme Femininity”, Wu managed to show that delicateness and sex-appeal can coexist, and can even be highlighted with the help of a few tough accents, a symbol of feminine empowerment.
