Fast Food? No! Fast Fashion! Selfridges To Launch Drive Through Service


The daily hassle of finding a parking spot makes the invention of drive through windows, a true Godsent, at least from where I’m standing – if I’m obligated to waste a ton of time hunting a free spot everywhere I go, at least at the fast food joint, where I expect things to go…well…fast, I should be able to escape all this.

Imagine my joy when I found out that this wonderful service, which saves me not only time, but also peace of mind, will soon become available in the world of fashion – Selfridges, the famous luxury department store in London, will be offering, starting January 2014, a drive through service for its clients.

Fast food? No! Fast fashion! Selfridges shoppers will be, in about six months from now, able to order their desired products on the website, and then to simply pick them up at the store, located on Oxford Street. The staff will permanently be on hand, so that the customer won;t even have to get out of the car!

The drive through service isn’t however the only innovative new feature offered by Selfridges – it comes along with a text messaging service that ensures no home delivery is ever made with nobody being home to receive it.

I believe it’s time for me to move to London…
