Janina Nectara by The Grand Magazine

The Grand Magazine, the biannual magazine dedicated to (how otherwise but) “grand” fashion and lifestyle, has put on the new looks of the F/W 2015-2016 season, in a new and altogether special issue – just as special as its cover, as a matter of fact. The very best so far… 😉

I am, of course, biased, but only because of the great enthusiasm I’ve shared with the editorial team over the making of the cover and main pictorial, whose lead character I happen to be. (I know, I’ve been born under a lucky star!)

A spectacular shooting boldly choreographed at below zero temperatures, that turned into a genuine adventure on high heels, in cars of great character and outfits worthy of a genuine diva.

The peak of the day? The team of professionals who did its magic, in order to bring you a sample of the outstanding talent and abilities they each master in their own respective field, be it publishing – Oana Mocanu -, make-up – Tania Cozma -, photography – Tibi Vintur – or hair style – Claudiu Sarghe.

So, I invite you to go through its editorial and pictorial content here, below and I promise you entertaining videos from the making-of in the very near future! 🙂

Janina Nectara, high speed fashion

The moment you utter the name Janina Nectara, you say, in fact, passion for fashion. And it probably is by no accident that the name of her website actually is Fashion Avec Passion, a digital platform enjoying international recognition. Soon after its launch, Fashion Avec Passion has been named by Harrods London, the iconic British fashion business, as Harrods Blog Of The Week, while the great Fashion Houses, such as Roberto Cavalli, Armani, Gucci, Burberry have chosen Fashion Avec Passion to live broadcast their runway shows in what have been Romanian exclusivities.

It’s plain to see that when it comes to fashion blogging, Janina in the strongest voice in the digital media. The international campaigns she is part of are putting Romania on the same map as fashion industry powerhouses.

Armani has invited the Romanian to feature in an Emporio Armani campaign video, next to four other international bloggers. Similarly, Dolce & Gabbana Beauty have chosen to promote their Sophia Loren lipstick by organising an exclusivist event for: Zanita Whittington (Australia), Negin Mirsalehi (the Netherlands), Sandra Violante (Italy) and the Romanian Janina Nectara – considered to be digital influencers, genuine references for the fashion-loving public.

Today, Janina Nectara is Romania’s Gucci ambassador for the international humanitarian project Chime for Change, involving celebrities such as Madonna, Beyoncé, Meryl Streep or Julia Roberts.
Also, Janina is a fixture of the Milan and Paris catwalk seasons. She has been dressed in red carpet attire for Milan shows by Roberto Cavalli and Giorgio Armani, being ranked by Vogue Mexico, Vogue France or the New York Times among Fashion Week’s best dressed. And Forbes Romania included her among the 30 Under 30 – young entrepreneurs that will change Romania.

And Janina’s accomplishments don’t end here. She has recently started a new endeavour in the world of fashion, that of working with the most influential fashion magazine in the world, Vogue, the Turkish edition, and becoming the very first Romanian to be writing for Vogue. A recognition in its most genuine form, since Vogue only works with remarkable personalities, exceptional talent, who have made brands of their names, as a result of their activity and standout results in the media.

Janina Nectara’s success was one that grew naturally, with each step marking progress, marking a new victory. Janina has studied fashion design in Paris as well as Romania and has had an internship working for Oscar de la Renta – designer to the First Ladies of the United States – in New York. More, she has gained fashion journalism experience during the four years she has worked in Paris with the founder of L’Uomo Vogue, Godfrey Deeny, now fashion critic for Financial Times and Le Figaro.

Naturally, our choice for this season’s cover of The Grand Magazine has been, maybe, the easiest ever. And because Janina Nectara’s lifestyle is one of great dynamism, we’ve invited her to shoot for a photo spread joining two of her passions: fashion and automobiles!
