I’ve always been lusting for fashion, with an avid need of images and information about collections, trends, campaigns or business and, thanks to the speed at which fashion has the world wide web spinning, it wasn’t difficult to feel ever present in the middle of runway or boutique action.
Still, I seem to have neglected – I read the other day – a fashion niche that is growing twice as fast as the industry as a whole, precisely women’s activewear! The truth be said, Stella has been relentlessly trying to get through the fact that Adidas by Stella McCartney is aimed directly at me, as the active woman living in the contemporary world that I am. But I preferred to look away, towards dresses and shoes with soles, and be it, heels, more suitable for simply standing rather than doing any sort of physical exercise – other keeping one’s balance.
But I’ll do almost anything before letting myself drop out of fashion! I chose a jacket with excellent functional performance, vivid colours and bold print… as I wish to look fantastic while achieving my running anti-performance. And to say fashion begs no (athletic) sacrifices!
