Fall of the orchids. Romanticism and camouflage in Fendi MFW14

A catwalk has never been more similar to a sports track, orchids haven’t ever before graced fur, and the collaboration between Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi hasn’t yet been more fresh and expressive as in the Fendi fall-winter 2014 collection shown in Milan.

And if master Karl Lagerfeld is famous for his shapes and colours minimalism, this time he brought along his invariable black, military inspired cuts and sprung them with the delicacy of superb white orchids brooched onto lapels. Meanwhile, Silvia Fendi, in her turn, twisted the iconic fur details and legendary Baguettes of the House into original splashes of sportivity. The two designers have once more put together their visions, to an unparalleled playful and feminine result.
