Ermanno Scervino – A Sexy Equestrian Show

Attention, the cavalry is here!

A sexy cavalry, with peplum jackets, leather riding pants and voluptuously accented waistlines.

For the Fall/Winter 2012 season, Ermanno Scervino chose to go with the equestrian theme.

Models wore riding hats, paired with large hoop earrings and silk scarves knotted in their hair.

The colour palette included numerous shades of olive, kakhi, moss green, a series of cordovan browns, an array of grays but also black. In spite of the autumnal shades, the show managed to keep intact its touch of freshness and femininity.

Extremely comfortable tailored pants, neither too tight, nor too loose, were paired with tailored jackets, blazers, houndstooth coats and ultra-feminine pencil skirts.

Towards the end of the show, things got even sexier, with transparencies, leopard prints, curve-hugging corsets and a series or risqué cocktail dresses and evening gowns in embroided lace.

What the Italian designer wants to suggests with this entire collection is that, even if we’re dealing with a cold season, burying our bodies under a heap of clothes is not a solution, and that we should always remember that our femininity must be celebrated, no matter the occasion.
